Rescue Mission

Published on the Beebug Magazine subscribers disc, volume 4 issue 4 in August 1985.

This game may seem out of order, but isn’t, since we wrote Easy Art and Sprites Plus on the BBC Micro before this, but sadly they weren’t published.

We developed Sprites Plus for Firebird, but sadly they dropped support for the BBC Micro before it was published.

Rescue Mission was a test case for Sprites Plus showing it was possible for a hobby game developer to make a game in BASIC using our Sprite package.

It’s really hard and we challenge you to rescue 3 guys! It’s possible, but we clearly needed to learn to make games more player friendly.
